    question for you computer geniuses

this has nothing to do with the forum...

this started happening about a month ago. i click on a link, especially an icon, and nothing happens. i have an email account on the UTD webpage. i have been using it for a year and now i can't get accessed to it. I can on other people's computers. It's weird.

I deleted cookies. I re-set the cookies security to about medium level.
    I deleted files and histories.
I even defragmented my computer, which really helped the speed.

I can get to a link by right-clicking and copying the address.. but not the icon. cuz the address to the icons are only the icon picture... but the link.

    Nothing helps.

Thanks in advance to any one who can help me out here...

try installing a different browser.. like mozilla... and setting it to default browser when you install.. then when you open up IE again it will ask to be made the default browser hit yes again, and perhaps it will reset itself...

    (i had a similar problem)

I have heard of Mozilla. That's the software they use over at UTD. Does it take up way too much space tho? My poor fragile computer got too much crap on it. hehe

    But I'll try it, thanks.

And thanks, ZUBi... I'm gonna try that too. I'm not in a hurry right now. But once I have some time.. I'll get to it. So thank you both.
