    Question Encoding question

    I have a friend who has a movie (possibly DVD) encoded in PAL format. He lives in the US (which of course is NTSC). They want to play the DVD, without coverting the player to a PAL player. They tried to reencode the movie, but had a lot of trouble with the framerate during fast moving scenes.

    Is there anyway to perfectly re-encode the movie from PAL to NTSC? They said they tried online instructions, but were only partly successful (see framerate issue).

    Sure it's possible...sorta. And definitely does work if the source is film (or 25fps progressive).
