My Friend! One of my favorite composers is... Patrick Cassidy! From Ireland! Remember end titles in Hannibal. Music used in this moment is his piece - mini-opera "Vide Cor Meum" with words from Dante's "La Vida Nuova". It was used also in funeral scene in "Kingdom of Heaven". Veeeery moving!
Patrick Cassidy made also one album with Lisa Gerrard.

I'm supposedly half-Irish, half-German. My name is from the German side, though.

Irish Canadian here. Grandparents came over when they were young, and raised my parents with lots of enthusiasm towards their heritage which was then passed on to me. Family problems kept me away from festivities which was very dissapointing for me, guess I just have to wait til next year to get piss drunk. Or I can do it this weekend. Meh.

Just came back from Dublin. Spent a week there, including St Patrics day.
