The Spirit (Johansson, S. L. Jackson, Mendes, King, Vega, Dir. Frank Miller)
IMDB Storyline: "Down these mean streets a man must come. A hero born, murdered, and born again. When a Rookie cop named Denny Colt returns from the beyond as The Spirit, a hero whose mission is to fight against the bad forces from the shadows of Central City. The Octopus who kills anyone unfortunate enough to see his face who has other plans. He's going to wipe out the entire city. The Spirit tracks this cold hearted killer from the city's rundown warehouses, to the damp catacombs, to the windswept waterfront all the while facing a bevy of beautiful women who either want to seduce, love or kill the masked crusader. That was disapointing. I Dont get why he choose to do it Sin Sity Style.
Hes more than capable to come up with a new look."A celibate clergy is an especially good idea, because it tends to suppress any hereditary propensity toward fanaticism." / Carl Sagan

It's not the Sin City style. It's the Frank Miller visual style. And since he's the director, he can choose to do the film in his own style, can he?
The sad thing is, because Sin City did it first and successfully, any subsequent film done in the exact/similar fashion people would scream 'ripoff'. Well I say, if the suit fits the body, why not wear it again even if someone's been there and done that?

I actually like the "Sin City (Frank Miller)" style, and find it a good compromise between an extravagant CG loaded feature with cast, and a fully animated feature. I have to agree with Editman on this.
I can't see through walls, but I can kick your ass.

It is Sin City style. Its what he´s used in all his sin city comics, and none of his other stuff. Sin City the movie, has nothing to do with it.
He got a different look for his Ronin, and a different look for Dark Knight. And Martha Washington, and electra, and 300 etc etc.
My point is, Frank Miller is really good at creating different styles. So re-using Sin City style is a shame, i would rather se something new, that im sure would be very cool.

On Youtube someone released trailer 2. There is a distracting "Distribution" word in the middle of the screen but a lot more footage is shown than the previous trailer.
