Next James Bond Film is CASINO ROYALE

Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, producers of the James Bond films, and MGM announced today that Martin Campbell will direct CASINO ROYALE, the 21st film in the 007 franchise. This is Campbell’s second time as helmer of a James Bond film. In 1995 he directed the hit GOLDENEYE which introduced Pierce Brosnan to the role of 007 with great success.
Wilson and Broccoli said: "We are thrilled that Martin has accepted our offer to direct 'CASINO ROYALE.' He is an extremely talented director and we believe he will help take our films in a new and exciting direction. He is currently finishing filming 'Legend Of Zorro,' the sequel to 'The Mask Of Zorro,' and will be joining EON Productions shortly to work on the development of the script with our writers, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade."
"CASINO ROYALE" will be released in 2006 and distributed world-wide by MGM. No decision has yet been made regarding casting for the role of 'James Bond.

It would be nice to see a serious version of theis Fleming novel instead of the overly silly comedy they made in the early sixties.  |

I heard this morning on TV that Clive Owen will play James Bond in the next movie.
Is it true or false ??

I don't think there's been any official announcement about who will be the next Bond, but I think Clive Owen in definitely in the running. He would get my vote if I had anything to say about it!

Anybody here of the rumour that Orlando Bloom is in line for the next Bond????talk about appealing to the kiddies market - hopefully,just an evil rumour just to upset the dedicated market.Licenced to Kill/Orlando Bloom?I think Not....

seriously, if bloom were to get that role that would pretty much ruin the movie for me,
Owen actually seems like the best man for the job in my opinion, he has an accent, he looks the part and in BMW's "Hire" he proved he can look cool in fast cars and fast chases
What's up with the title, Casino Royale? What happened to the recent trend of witty meaningless statements, lol,

it would be cool to see Clive Owen do the bond thing but if Orlando Bloom is the next bond say good bye to the bond franchise
