    "The Professional" sequel goes unprofessional

There have been rumours of a sequel to “The Professional” – or “Leon” as it’s called in some countries – a few times, now Filmrot reports that it might be taking the form of a remake over anything. “Ever since the original movie debuted, rumours circulated concerning a martial arts remake with Jet Li in the title role, sequel gossip, Matilda spin-offs, etc, etc. Recent news, however, reveals that the former could very well be in development. All I can say is that Jet Li is pushing for it and if he gets his way, the film will be set in Hong Kong and Luc Besson will handle the re-writes”. Are you crazy Besson! Get Portman back, carry on Matilda’s story! Oh, the madness…Besson previously worked with Jet Li on the dud "Kiss of the Dragon" which could explain why they could be in talks to work on this together.

I agree, when I first read it Kiss of the Dragon would in fact be what I picture the Jet LI remake to be. I think it's a bad idea. But although the Matilda being a professional hitwoman spinoff is a very good idea, Besson wouldn't be in it REASON: he died <---MAJOR SPOILER
