They Fought Alone: According to Empire Online, David Fincher and Bratt Pitt are reteaming, their first project since Fight Club, to create a film called They Fought Alone.

They Fought Alone tells the story of one Wendell Fertig, an American soldier who fought in the Philippines during World War II. After American soldiers are ordered to surrender, Fertig and his men team up with Filipino resistance fighters to prevent the Japanese from taking full control of the region. When Fertig gets a message out about his guerilla actions, the American army is divided between wanting to get behind the rogue team and disowning Fertig for having ignored military orders.

I think it's a SiFi movie. I'am not sure.

Fincher is my GOD!!! The only movie I didn't like by him was Alien 3. But it was an important movie to get to Alien 4. So i have not complaints.

This is excellent news. You can't get enough David Fincher movies. My second favourite director only behind the man himself, Steven Spielberg.

About the movie.
CORONA (not much info really)
www.rendezvouswithrama.com (crappy site)

BUT the book is amazing. Its written by Arthur C. Clarke who among ALOT of other books wrote 2001 (the book, co-wrote screenplay with kubrik), 2010, 2061, 3001, dolphin Island, the Rama books and my favorite Against the Fall of Night.

Yes its a SF book.
In short its about: In the year 2131 a gigantic cylinder (8x50 km) enters our solar system. Who made it? why? and what is it doing here?

Its the first book of 4 about Rama. This one 'Rendezvous with Rama' Clarke wrote alone. The 3 sequals 'Rama II', 'The Garden of Rama' & 'Rama Reveald' is written by Clarke & Centry Lee. The first-one is kind of a stand alone book even if alot of questions is unanserved. While the 3 later is more like 1 big book.
When I read this book I though that it could make a good movie, but like the other books by Clarke that ive read, the best part is his language and storytelling, which gets lost in the movie medium. But it would make a spectacular movie.
2001 is a good example, excellent book, but movie way too boring and the best parts in the book is just lost in the movie.
