Actually AskMen is wrong on number 2. They state that Bumblebee is going to morph into a VW Beetle which is not the case. He's going to be the new Camaro concept.

--Contest: Look for a contest soon to find a line written by a fan for Optimus Prime to say. Maybe will start in a few weeks.

My first reaction was like Jake. I love the original G1 TV series, but I believe the robot modes of this movie look very fine. It was a surprise for me the first time I saw this images. What I don't like is that, apparently, all vehicles in the movie will be American made. No place for the original VW Beetle, Porsches or Lamborghinis we loved when we were children.

They're ok, I like the originals better though. I guess we'll see how it works out.
BTW Ironhide and Optimus are the two most common cars in Texas...

************MAJOR SPOILERS (though you probably know them anyway)****************
Crash course in Transformers:
Cybertron is a planet engulfed in war and an energy crisis (or rather something like a food shortage since they're machines) and Optimus gathers a bunch of these guys and goes looking for fuel in a spaceship called the Ark (one smart spaceship). Midflight they (Autobots) are attacked by the opposite faction (Decepticons) and end up crashing on Earth.
The Ark sends out probes to see what the robots can change into to blend in and survive. The probes encounter trucks, sedans, and other things. Thus the robots are given the morhping configurations of these machines.
Both factions fight on Earth because they're very elite groups so they figure if either kills the other leader then they can go back to Cybetron and claim victory.
That's sort of it in a nutshell.
