This was a very very good movie. I was surprised that it did not win for best picture. I did not feel the chicago should have won. It did not have nearly the impact that The Pianist did.

Of course, ever since Julia Roberts won for Best Actress for her "work" on Erin Brokovich, the Oscars have been going downhill. I mean, Ellen Burstyn should have won for Requiem for a Dream. and Denzel Washingston winning for Training Day?! Russell Crowe rightfully deserved the award for A Beautiful Mind.

I know that the Academy Awards are only an opinion of good work done in a year, but that opinion has gotten further and further from the definition of good work over the past few years
