King Arthur pics

Keira Knightly as Guinevere
Quote:
mpire Movies has done a nice job of landing the first images from the upcoming KING ARTHUR movie, now in production and being directed by Antoine Fuqua (TRAINING DAY). The Jerry Bruckheimer-produced movie stars Clive Owen as the legendary King Arthur, Keira Knightly as Guinevere, Stephen Dillane as Merlin, Ioan Guffudd as Lancelot and a lot of other great British and European actors. The movie is due out by the Christmas of 2004.
The anonymous Empire scooper furnished a couple of dozen images showing Arthur in his Roman Empire-esque armor and the Knights of the Round Table, as well as some shots of director Fuqua calling the shots behind-the-scenes. Take a look at some of these images below and then definitely check out the remainder of these amazing shots at the Empire Movies website.

That is quite possibly the strangest costume I have seen for a woman since The Fifth Element

now i might be a little rusty in my mythology...but since when was Guinevere a warrior ?? i will see this but only because i won't ahve to pay for it. of course, it might tuirn out to be good...but so far, i will go on the record to say that i don't think it will be all that good. another "first knight" if you ask me...good actors, not plot.
and another thing...nothing against miss knightly, but you need to
have some boobs before you can wear an outfit like that.

I read a book by Alice Borchardt a while back called the Dragon Queen. It was basically the story of Guinevere growing up.
I'm a bit rusty on the details, but I can tell you that she grew up a warrior, and took the Dragon Throne of her people long before marrying Arthur.
The green ivy drawings on her skin were some kind of faery armor. Of course, the movie may have nothing to do with the story I read, but those green lines on her face and body look disturbingly familiar to the cover of Borchardt's book.
