Plot: Prot is a mysterious new patient at a mental hospital who claims to come from a distant planet called K-PAX. As his psychiatrist, Dr. Brewer, tries to figure out exactly how to help him. The doctor gradually begins to realize the so-called alien is having a remarkable effect on the mental health of the hospital's other patients. Determined to prove the stranger is nothing more than a tragic victim of multiple-personality disorder, the doctor soon finds himself doubting his own diagnosis.
