This massive project started in 1998 with ornithologists in Normandy exposing the eggs of the birds to be seen in the film to the sounds of humanity so they'd be used to the planes, gliders, engines, balloons and boats used to film the movie. This documentary captures the beauty of the birds as they make their annual trips around the world, only to eventually come back to where they started, and do it all over again. |
