War of the Worlds = $200M+

    From Darkhorizons.com see link here
"Sky News reports that the proposed Steven Spielberg-directed, Tom Cruise-starring new adaptation of "The War of the Worlds" is reportedly set to become Hollywood's most expensive blockbuster.

The official budget as it stands before production for the alien invasion movie is purported to exceed the £110 million pounds ($200M) it took to make "Titanic", according to British tabloid The Sun.

An insider says "No expense will be spared, Spielberg wants to make it the film of the decade". As a result, neither Cruise or Spielberg are taking upfront payments, both choosing a 20% share of box office takings instead."
    Wow, that's a lot of $$$!!
"34 million American adults are obese. Putting together that excess blubber would fill the Grand Canyon two-fifths of the way up. That may not sound impressive, but keep in mind it is a very big canyon."

Looks like it could be cool -- I'll make a judgement when we get closer to the release date.
