The 640 trailer in QT has banners at the top and bottom. It's old way to removed banners etc. from 640 sized Apple encodes.

I know what banners are and how to remove them. (Granny doesn't like being taught how to suck an egg.) My question is why would anyone wanna remove them. What's wrong with watching the trailer with the banners unless one can't play the file properly?

I too like to remove the banners from the fullscreen trailers. I like it simple, just the trailer. Learned how to do that from trailergod (then known as tisoy ). I keep the both versions, though.

    Question Can someone explain this?

I'm not understanding 'I wonder if the trailer can be cracked the old fashioned way... (i.e. saving to HD, going to properties and deleting everything except audio and video)".
I've right clicked the file that I've D/L to my HD
and clicked 'properties', while in Windows Explorer and also clicked 'properties' in WMP while the file was playing, but I don't see how to delete 'everything except audio and video".

You weren't the only one who got confused. (Blame the poster.)

First, are you sure you're talking about the Quicktime version as we do, instead of the WMV version? (Cos I'm surprised you can play a QT file in WMP! EDIT: Heck! What do you know!? The QT file CAN be played in WMP. )

There's nothing wrong with the link itself. By 'cracking' IGT meant (in the most inappropriate way) 'modifying the Quicktime file in Quicktime Movieplayer Pro - most likely cracked version - to suit his own viewing needs'.

We are talking here about Windows Media Player, not (ZUBi's) Media Player Classic, right? Because when I tried to play a QT file in my WMP (v10) it said it needed a codec, but it couldn't download/find it...

I dunno what tkmops was talking about but I was talking about Windows Media Player.

I open the QT file in WMP. It prompted a message that WMP recognised the extension, but may still be able to play it. Do I want the Player to try yo play the file. I click yes, and it plays.

Mind you, I have Quicktime MoviePlayer properly installed. And I also installed Nero. Dunno if it makes a difference cos when I checked property audio and video codec are displayed as Nero QuickTime(tm) Video/Audio Decoder.

    Whoops, my bad

I thought this was a discussion about cracking the licence code issue
with the WMP version? It's very nice quality-almost HD!, and full screen on
my 17" flat panel. Anyone out there know how to get around it expiring?
    Thanks.

Is there an MPEG encode anywhere of all three trailers? [Includes the Superbowl!]
