well I had watched 2 of the trailers for this and it just seems awful. Now before you grab your torches and pitchforks I must say I do enjoy little fan made things, some of them are really good and some of them are really funny but this is just awful it seems like it is being done for some school project it has that feel to it and the music used for the trailers was not the best choices it they seem like they don't fit the action but all in all I would not want to see the finished film when it is done.

While I do think that the internet is an awesome tool, for porn and e mail and what not. I also feel it is probably the biggest double edge sword of all. If you've seen Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, you know what I mean. You have the power of anonimity, since no one knows its really you (with the exception of a few friends) you can post on forums all day and say what ever it is you want, wether it be bashing, or praising.

I respect opionions on the flick, I know not everyone is going to like it, but I draw the line at those who have nothing constructive to say. I know our bdget isn't the biggest, but we certainly have a lot more heart than other flicks.

This has been a movie that for the last 2 years, has ben blood, sweat and tears. (no pun intended for our title) and if YOU yourself have a movie that you've done, then why don't you put it online and show the world, see what happens. There are people that even bash Batman: Dead End. And that could be considered one of the most expensive "school projects" ever.

Cause I just have one thing to say, shut the hell up and go make your own movie. If you have the money and time, and can obviously make one better quit talking and start doing. And I'm sure all of us here would love to see it when it's done.

If I dig it, I won't be the first person, to bash either.

By the way, have you seen the final trailer yet, from your words it looks like you've only seen the teaser trailers.

Well now it seems I have offended someone else yet again, I know not everyone agrees with what I say around here and people have bad mouthed me in the passed and some even said I do not know what the hell I am talking about and even random posters told me to get the hell out because they did not like the opinions that I handed out.

Now I am not and was not attacking you or your idea I enjoy Lara Croft and Tomb Raider as a whole now It doesn't matter about your budget and I do applaud your heart in this endeavor because film production can be tough and you have to make every film like it is your greatest masterwork. Now I look at everything in 2 ways I look at it from a fan perspective and then form a professional stand point and both were not pleased and if I were actually to be working at a studio and you would have brought me that as a sales point of view because the trailer is what sells the movie basically "if you like what you see come see this film" that is how trailers work in my view and like I said if I was a studio executive (which I am not) I would be excited about the Tomb Raider aspect but if you showed me the trailer as your selling feature I would say pass.

Now I did not say all fan made films were bad I said I did enjoy many much like Batman: Dead End I think that film is probably on the top of the good pile followed by the "second installment" if you can call it that the film by the same man called "Worlds Finest" now that was pure genus right there. Now as for your other comments your basically pulling the whole "if you can do better" routine on me is that it? well you better watch out then because that is what I am doing in a manner of speaking I am going to start my own Entertainment company hell I even started and it was suppose to open this year but I had a little set back which is being resolved as we speak so in short I have the schooling, and the training and the time and the money and the creativity and the talent! OH HALALOUA, TESTIFY TESTFY!!!

so in closing if you can't take a little bashing from some Anonymous person on the internet of all places this isn't the business for you because you can't make everyone like everything you do. You have to take the the bad with the good, you will not be praised all the time so do not expect everyone just to fall all over you and say your stuff is the greatest thing since sliced bread because that is not going to happen.

and well if you still dislike my objective opinion on your film production/project then just do what Jay and Silent Bob did at the end of the movie: Find out who I am and come kick my ***.

Ok Spoonpics, I've just watched the latest full trailer for Tears of the Dragon. I liked it, it looks good. Although I must admit the music does seem like it doesn't fit a bit. Now I am under no circumstances an expert on trailers, but I know what I like and dislike.
But, why bash people for their own opinions? Isn't that the reason You would put this film online to begin with? So other people could see it and comment on your work?
As I say I liked it, looking forward to the finished product.

yup.. dont think of the bashing as a bad point.. think of it as a blessing.. so that u can always challenge urself to make better movies to please a wider range of audiences. And dont forget Good films can be made on extremely low budgets...

Sheesh....Web Slinger, I laughed my *** off at your last comment, your an all right guy, no hard feelings.

Love the Jay and Bob reference.

I understand your opionion on the trailer and I know not everyone is gonna dig this movie, no matter what I do.

    Not everyone digs everything.

I can take a little feedback, it's just I misunderstood you when you came out from a standpoint of complete negative and nothing constuctive. most of the time, I let those kind of things slide, but if I feel that the poster in question is speaking from a viewpoint that hasn't been given enough information than thats wheree I feel the need to let them know.

Both Batman and Worlds are awesome, but the talented Sandy Collara (director of the trailers) has something we dont.

A budget and Hollywood professionals helping him out.

He's a Hollywood effects vet whose worked in the business a long time, and it shows.

Also, on the music, there are some who love the choice and some who don't think it fits (well the end song any way) and thats kind of like the movie ya know? People will like it or hate it.

Just so you guys know, I've put together a fun/ energy filled music video/trailer to the flick that will be online soon.

I appreciate the comments, both good and not so good.

And Web Slinger, I wish you the best in the start up of your entertainment company, and I would like to invite you personally to the preimere of our flick in Nov.

Just RSVP at the site and come check it out.

And if anyone here is in the LA area, please do the same.

Even if you hate the movie, if you drink enough, it will be better than you remember....
