A lot of Catholic sources are telling me that the Pope is indeed dead. He died very early this morning (American time).

well who else are they going to tell? Go door to door telling everyone individually? Silly idea. The media would be the faster way to spread the word.

A sad week so far. I've noticed ppl are sadder around and work has been slow. Was reading the paper, and said that there was a soccer match and as soon as the players and crowd recieved the news of the Pope's worsening illness, they all stop playing and cheering, prayed and left the event.

Its only a matter of time, but good ppl deserve a good end. Be strong!

It's a sad day. He was the only Pope that I've known. May he be at peace.

I've never been much interested in religion and politics, so I didn't know much about the Pope. But I watched a documentary about him this morning on our TV and also followed the news coverage on CNN/BBC since he died, so I did learn something about him...and looks like he was a very good both as a man and Pope, and very popular also. It really made me sad that he died. May he rest in peace.
