    trailer dvd's

How many people would be interested in buying DVD's of Movie Trailers? (Not VCD or SVCD... but actual DVD's - playable on all DVD Players)?

how many trailers can fit in a DVD?

if the average vob (mpeg2) trailer is betwwen 60MB to 100MB and a DVD can carry 4.5GB... wow thats a lot of trailers, would even be better if it the trailers had 5.1 sound...

btw, what DVD media standard will be used?

many peeps won't pay for things they can get elsewhere for free ... even if the stuff is in lesser quality (like mp3s in 96kbps )

It realy depends on how many trailers on a disk but i wouldent pay for trailers when i can downlaod them onto my comp.

Plus they have this new system (or maby old) that you can link your comp with your tv and watch stuff on it instead.

Doing quick calculations... you could fit about 50 DVD-Quality Trailers per DVD.

do we have a choice of what trailers are on the DVD, kind of like a personal trailer DVD or not?

also, will this be a "professional" job or somerthing that gets done using Ulead DVD Workshop (or somthing like that)...i mean a home PC job ???

    but i am interested though....

It'll be still good even if it's a home job DVD, as long as the source material is in good quality (laser, direct DVD rip, broadcast tapes, etc), not VHS.

(In fact, it may just as well be a home job, cos if it's going to the press, big studios may come in and bust your :butt: for copyright infringement.)

It better includes the Easter eggs of delete scenes & rough cuts of trailers never available elsewhere, and they'd better be the most difficult-to-find easter eggs ever put on a DVD (even more mind-blowing than Memento SE's) and only posters of this forum get the cheat info first hand.

And don't forget the 5-hour intersive behind-the-scene footage of JP "getting into action" (fixing dead links or humping dead-gorgeous blonds, your choice). :big grin: :big grin:
