Cool EpIII and the fing 7-11

    I hate to be a buzz-kill, but...

Can we be bombarded by more of the old Star Wars marketing bleck?

Everywhere I turn there is a Darth Vadar head on my slurpie at the 7-11 or a frickin R2D2 on a magazine.

Is this all to just make us forget how crappy the last 2 (3?) movies were and sucker us into returning to the theaters to be fleeced one more time?

I am so turning to the dark side. I'm a whore though. I'll see the frickin thing even if everyone tells me not to. Even if it closes after a weekend and I have to get a crappy screener off DC.

Sigh. I feel dirty I'm gunna go take a shower.

    funny....
i JUST bought one about 30 mins ago.
i didn't fill it with slurpee crap though...
...i put a pint of haagan-daaz inside of it.
i'm not promoting 'stealing' in anyway,
i just rather have ice cream than sugared water.
besides...i payed for the cup anyways. ($2.15)

less than 15 days til EPIII!!!!!
    yay................

i don't see the "bombardment" is anything more than normal. you forget that for every star wars movie (or really any other majot blockbuster) there is going to be media press and endorsements galore. this one just appears to be more than usual becuase that it is the last SW movie (per se) and/or you are more attuned to it.

me...i love it. i just dropped another $100 on figures and magazines. my grand total for just Ep3 right now is around the $450 mark. (but i'm guessing actual total is higher. this is just what i tell my wife )

Okay, I agree. The merchandising is out of control. But, that said, I’m still excited for the premiere. Not sleep out in the parking lot in front of the theater to buy tickets excited, but excited. I am hoping this one gives us a little satisfaction that the others lacked. Will I plunk my money down for collectible crap new or retro? Probably not. Although I did see that Free Comic Book Day is giving out a Star Wars episode for its promotion on May Seventh. That might be worth dropping by the comic book store.

If you're looking for something with a little less fanfare, check out this fanflick called Star Wars Revelations: http://www.panicstruckpro.com/revela...ons_movie.html
