    Goonies 2

It has been a while since it has been announced that there was going to be a Goonies 2. Just when I got my hopes high they then announced that they have changed their minds. But the way I saw the article it made it sound that there was still a small possibility. Does anyone know any updates?

They start with the newest articles going to the oldest articles. At one point, they actually had a picture up of the original Goonies cast w/Richard Donner, but it's not up anymore. Too bad, it was pretty cool, too. Chunk had slimmed down quite a bit.

    Hope this helps!

if they'd make a sequel of it, it might be nice - but for me, it would just spoil the great childhood memories that i had of being a pirate...

    I agree 100%.

Goonies is one film that should be left alone. The Goonies were kids and if you want to see those kids again, watch the original.

Call for letters to Petition Goonies 2

I am requesting letters to send to warner bros to urge them to allow goonies 2 to be made. If the movie is to happen, the fans need to step in and demand it. Please send your letters complete with signature to:

    Leg End Productions
    P. O. Box 561045
    Rockledge, FL 32956-1045

When I get a bulk of letters I will send them along with my own to several people at warner bros and also follow up with them by phone. Please help goonies fans. Goonies never say die!

    Thanks,

    Ryan (floridagoonie)

Not much news, but we haven't heard anything about it in a while....

The talk has been going on for quite some time”, the WB source says of a third “Gremlins” film, which many speculate will utilise CGI rather than puppetry. "I think that’s all it is at the moment. Talk. I know [name removed] has a pretty full slate over at Premiere – they’re looking at doing direct to video sequels to Scooby Doo and The Goonies, and as you mentioned, Premiere are soon to start production on The Lost Boys 2 and New Jack City 2 – so won’t be in any rush.

“..it isn’t possible to do anything on the budget of those [DTV sequels], and to be half decent, this thing would have to have a bit of money behind it, so I don’t think one can safely say it’ll definitely end up one of the titles on the Warner Premiere slate, but I believe its a consideration”.

I'd personally prefer a theatre version of Goonies and not a DTV....

    I never did understand the appeal of "Goonies";

maybe it's because I was 20 years old when it came out?
