    problems with quicktime 7

    Hi guys,

I have been an avid fan of movie-list for ages now, and always checking for new trailers to view, but now I have come across a problem and would like some help in solving it, if anyone can.

The problem being my quicktime 7 has just totaly stopped working, so i un-installed it along with i-tunes, and now i can not re-install it, i have tried installing quicktime 6 and 6.5 but they also wont install, can any one help out, I cant be the only one with this really annoying problems out there.

    Thanks.

I had trouble installing QT7 because of a registry problem. It wasn't uninstalling QT6 properly.
So i had to go into the registry and remove all references to Quicktime, and then install QT7.
    That worked.

This probably won't matter, but try this as well:
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html

It's the "Stand Alone" version of QT7 without the annoyances of ITunes. The Apple website makes it near impossible to find.

    Lightbulb

    first DELETE QuickTime 6 (!).

then go to Start > run.. > & type here: regedit

    go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" / SOFTWARE

    find like Apple Computer Inc.

    right mouse click & DELETE...

reboot computer & then install (standalone) QT7...
