That Heath Ledger. Can't u see? Read the cast credits too
Ned Kelly was one of the most popular bushrangers in Australian history. He was famous for his talents before he took a life of crime and during this life of crime, u can say he was the first to come up with body armour. He had steal plates on his upper body and all around his head. From that, he could no be taken out but in the end was captured when police shot @ his legs which were unprotected.

Ever heard of the saying "Such is life!" ?

Just a sidenote: The very first Australian feature film (probably one of the world's first too, or so they say...) is "The Story of the Kelly Gang". Since then Ned Kelly's story had been dramatised on screen many times (in Australia of course). The last one is "Ned Kelly" in the 70s, starring Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stone (that's right!) as the title role.

But the thing is: I'm not too sure if this version is going to pump new blood into the old legend, or serves as yet another reminder of Australia's most notorious bushranger whom nobody knows in the rest of the world (well maybe in Ireland).

And believe it or not: As sort of an indie film maker, your humble Editman at one point also thought about re-telling the Kelly Gang story on film, but in subversive post-modern stlye like Baz Luhrmann's "Romeo & Juliet". Can't tell much about it, but that's what I reckon a way worth of re-telling the story. Oh well, I'm sure nobody cares...
