    Why don't we just finish the job by flushing our brains down the toilet?

    about the same here in Houston, Texas...

    the reason why the price of gas is going up here in the U.S. is because of the new Energy Bill that was signed by Clueless George last year;

    it directs all gasoline to contain the corn derivative Ethanol which is supposed to reduce pollution and increase car gas mileage.

    But because it's made from Corn, if you don't live in a Corn producing state, you will be paying more money for your gas because Ethanol has to be added to the Gasoline and then trucked or shipped by rail train to where you live.

    and how is Ethanol extracted from Corn? Using Gas of course!!

    So in essence they are burning Gas to Save Gas; like a digging a hole to fill it up again; how totally ILLOGICAL!!

    It's hovering over a dollar / litre here. Was 104.5 this morning and it's down to about 102.0 right now. Probably go down under 100.00 sometime tonight and then magically goes back up at midnight. Gas prices are the biggest scam going.
    You're waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can't be sure. But it doesn't matter - because we'll be together.

    I paid $2.70 USD per gallon yesterday for gas, and bought about 10 gallons. $28 to fill my tank up. That is ridiculous.

    I absolutely agree and while I was for the Energy Bill (mostly because it aids domestic companies) it's not really a Republican proposal. If Bush knows anything it's oil and the ethanol initiative comes from stupid-*** environmentalists that don't realize it's a pointless way to go.

    I read somewhere that the US and Canada are the largest producers of corn and if you cut it ALL down and converted it to Ethanol you'd have about a month's supply of gasoline. That's pretty sad.

    It's just like Hydrogen powered vehicles, where does H+ come from? try CH, hydrocarbons, ie oil/natural gas.

    One thing to keep in mind, this says NOTHING about the QUALITY of the gas, for example Amoco has amongst the world's most efficient gasoline, so you can get a "special" at Amoco and Shell and get more milage and a smoother working engine with Amoco's. I know as a fact that African gasoline is some of the most poorly refined crap on the planet, you put that in your Land Rover you won't be getting 100,000 miles from it.
