The Weinstein Co. is making a big screen adaptation of the TV series Knight Rider which starred David Hasselhoff as Knight.

The movie, Knight, will follow a cop nursed back to health by a millionaire after being left for dead. The millionaire will give the cop the famous talking car, KITT.


David Price, who originally brought the project to The Weinstein Co., will be co-producing the movie

I agree with you Corfy, the show is about the car, not the man who drives it!!

Although personally, I preferred Bonnie (Patricia McPherson) over April (Holden).

Although I am not sure I would go as far as to say that the show is "about the car", although I do think that the car was the co-star, and that the car and driver were a team. Doing a Knight Rider movie without KITT being a character is like doing a movie of "Miami Vice" without Crockett or "Starsky and Hutch" without Hutch.

lol, I just dwnlded episode called Kitt vs. Karr and it really is amazin! I just stil love it.
I think it might be gr8, if Kitt would talk in the movie too, it would be somethink like Viper (which I liked too) and I am sure thats not what producers want....

I liked the original, but I also liked the new car used in the TV movie Knight Rider 2000.

Of course, for a brief time in that movie, KITT's intellegence was placed in a 1957 Chevy. That was pretty cool, too.

KITT should stay as it always was, maybe some little design changes, but just keep it!
it would be like changing actor for terminator if they´d change the car - noone would have watched it!
