1. Deborah's (Elizabeth McGovern) son that appeared toward the end of the movie, when an old Noodles (Robert De Niro) went to see her in her dressing room; is he also De Niro's son from when he raped her in the car 30 years earlier?

2. What happened to Max (James Wood) at the end? We see a shot of him standing in front of his Mansion's entrance; a garbage truck drives by and he is gone. Did he commit suicide by jumping into the compactor part of the truck?
