    Tiny Dancer

Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand

Jesus freaks out in the street
    Handing tickets out for God
    Turning back she just laughs
The boulevard is not that bad

Piano man he makes his stand
    In the auditorium
Looking on she sings the songs
The words she knows, the tune she hums

But oh how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you and you can hear me
    When I say softly, slowly

    Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
----> this part was in the Trailer
Lay me down in sheets of linen
you had a busy day today

    Hold Me Closer, Tiny Dancer.....

I love that song, even more since I saw the movie.

Seek out a live version done by Dave Groll of Foo Fighters. he did it on some late night talk show and it's halarious, he spends half the time just talking about Almost Famous.

"Every night I thank Camron Crowe for opening up a part of me I don't think I ever knew until now..."

"pretty eyes, priate smile, you'll marry a music man.........you know what? Lets just skip all that crap and go right to the chorus like on that bus scene!"

Great song from a great album. When I first heard "Tiny Dancer" on the radio it tipped the scales for me. I had already been weighing up the options ...Do i eat or do I buy "Madman Across the Water" just to hear "Levon"? With blue jeaned lady added there was no longer any question.

"Almost Famous" Great movie from a great director. Never saw it on the big screen... i was resisting what i saw as the hype [i sometimes get stubborn like that] but have made up for it heaps by watching it every chance I get.

Still havent seen "Elizbethtown" yet going out to find it right now...

Thank you Mark Strube! It's an older thread, but the trailer still rocks!
