Remember the ending of "24" Season 2?

At a public press conference held by President Palmer,

Mandy (Mia Kirshner) walks over to Palmer and shakes his hand.

Then she walks over to a private place and removes a plastic shield from her hand, putting it into an aluminum case.

Meanwhile, Max's phone rings. "It's done," says Mandy.

"Thank you," says Max.

President Palmer looks at his hand. It's burnt, and he has trouble breathing. He falls to the ground. The Secret Service aim their guns at a non-existent shooter. An ambulance is called for.

Refresh my memory:

Who is Max and what happened to him? According to IMDB, this is the only season of "24" he appeared in (the season finale and the previous episode prior to this one)

What happened to Mandy; she was offered a Pardon in Season 4 in exchange for helping Jack and CTU but I don't remember what she was supposed to do for them.

How did President Palmer return for Season 3 without dying?

well he didnt have to die, it was moreless kinda teaser to make people look at third season. But third starts looong after, so the situation simply got solved .... it like with china.. ... everyone expected to see jack in s6 to fight there for/and run away and blast, u see him in US long after.

-Palmer was back in season 3 but he had to take medicine because of the virus Mandy gave him.

-Mandy had to help Jack to locate a guy in season 4 after that she was offered a Pardon. I'm sure we will see her again.

-Max... well we never heard of him anymore... bizzard...
