    You are right, the order of knights had people from whole Europe, and they were sent whereever they were needed. They were organization of Catholic men dedicated to charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism...



    I know at least of the Maltesian knights. But I guess, king Arthur and his knights are the most famous ones, which gets us back to the same question
