    More Star Wars films coming...

Sounds like George Lucas isn't as finished with the Star Wars saga as he previously claimed.

    From http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,270874,00.html

And here's a little news: Lucas tells me he will make two more live-action films based in the "Star Wars" era.

"But they won't have members of the Skywalker family as characters," he said. "They will be other people of that milieu."

Well he originally said he was going to do a Trilogy with 3 films each meaning 9 movies - he said that in 1977.

So Episode 7, 8, and 9 should be post Skywalker/Solo/Vader era; maybe a few years after Jedi!!

    EDIT:

I just read the article; they are going to be TV Movies!!

    BS!!

    Does it really matter anymore?
You're waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can't be sure. But it doesn't matter - because we'll be together.

Awesome, I guess I'm just happy we'll get something!

thanks for the info, but this is kind of old news. this was mentioned just before Ep3 came out. after that, Lucas is taking time off and then onto Indy 4 - then after that will be the two TV movies. one is live action and the other will be like clone wars cartoons. though, no real prospect for characters has come forth, alot of rumor has one series being between Ep3 and Ep4 with characters not directly involved with the main plot with the possibility of several main characters popping in for cameos.

just read the article. very interesting crap until the lucas segment. the two things that really caught my eye were...

    Well, it's not "Star Wars."

"People thought 'Star Wars' was silly, too," he added, with a wink. "But it wasn't."
interesting to hear what he thought of it. it could just be he's a little envious of the film's success becuase he company didn't do the CG/FX on it.
    and ...

if that last segement is not taking from another interview years ago, then that is possibly a huge spoiler for what's to come...
