About the No New Spammers

Personally i think its great that we shudnt be seeing ne spammers for a while, specially over the xmas holidays.

but i was wondering... to limit the situation in the future (its always hard to totaly eradicate the problem) is der ne possible way that a newbie is not allowed to post a new thread until they have a post count of 50 (by only replyin to threads) ?

jus an idea. obviously i realise that such a setting may not be existant. i dunno.

I think 50 is too much, I´d make it 20 ..... but good idea

yeah corse i was only makin a point with the number 50. with that im sure JP knos best.

but im mainly sayin this cuz ive kinda noticed that most new people tht havent been spammers.. tend to merge in with the crowd thru posting to replies or commenting on trailers that hav been posted. Rather den creating new threads. most of the peeps that hav been creating new threads tend to be Spammers. So deny them of that right ne way possible!

yeah thats very true. but the chances of that happening is much lower! which is why i originally said that it wont eliminate em for good but definetly add limitations.

As an alternative it may be a little harsh but many websites do not allow registration with free emails, only accounts from your ISP. I don't really like that but it seems to work.

I never use my ISP email account.

We've done that here too.
You can no longer register using yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc. as your email address.
Those of you already registered were lucky.

I have found a limitation in another forums: users with less than 15 posts, for example, can't post links of any kind.
