    Only in America

    1. Only in America.......can a pizza get to
your house faster than an ambulance.

    2. Only in America.......are there
handicap parking places in front of a
    skating rink.

    3. Only in America.....do drugstores
make the sick walk all the way to the
back of the store to get their
prescriptions while healthy people can buy
    cigarettes at the front.

    4. Only in America.......do people order
    double cheeseburgers, large fries,
    and a diet coke.

    5. Only in America.......do banks leave
both doors open and then chain the
    pens to the counters.

    6. Only in America.......do we leave cars
worth thousands of dollars in the
driveway and put our useless junk in the
    garage.

    7. Only in America.......do we use
answering machines to screen calls and
then have call waiting so we won't miss a
call from someone we didn't want
to talk to in the first place.

    8. Only in America.....do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight.

    9. Only in America......do we use the
word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and
    'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.

    10. Only in America......do they have
    drive-up ATM machines with Braille
    lettering.

Actually, I used to live in a location with a bank across behind me. I would often walk to their drive-up ATM to get some cash. So that one isn't very far out of the realm of disbelief for me.

#2 is probably for the visitors and/or employees.
If you can stay calm, while all around you is chaos...then you probably haven't completely understood the seriousness of the situation.

More like all the people with fake handicapped parking permits. In New York people abuse this so much because virtually every parking lot has reserved handicapped parking. Seeing as parking space is extremely scarce many people get permits for either fake or insignificant injuries just to get the permit.

One of the most ridiculous laws ever allowed obese people to get them. Which is sort of illogical seeing as part of the problem is that they don't walk anywhere.

Surely there are people who genuinely require that space but from my experience most of them do not.

yeah here in Texas anyone can get a Handicapped Permit that hangs from the center rearview mirror.

Just go to a doctor and say you need the doctor to sign the application form; most doctors will give you one no question asked - after all, they still collect their regular visit fee for 5 minutes worth of work.

Then take that form to the License Plate office and you get one the same day.

I see people with expensive SUVs parking in Handicapped spaces and the driver that comes out of it is as healthy as a fish: no limps, no missing limbs, not even prescription eyeglasses.

Sometime I want to go up there and tell them off!!

    Losers!!
