Bloody overprotective Koreans!
(okay. Apology for those who may be offended by the above remark. It's not PC I know...)
What's the point of putting a trailer online if it's not for the public?
Damn thing better be better than Final Fantasy!Last edited by editman; 02-18-2003 at 06:12 PM.

I would say that it was intended for soem business partners (like marketing) to check out or maybe for somebody to provide comments, without the need for fancy VPN software. There's millions of reasons why some trailer would not be initially in public domain.
That said, I completely unerstand why a 'trailer fanatic' like yourself, would get pissed off. I was looking forward to checking out this one myself.. Uri .

Although I agree, but since when EVERYTHING online was in public domain?

What upset me was that considering it became password-protected after Mischa posted the link. Unless it's already protected before Mischa found the trailer, (and God knows how he downloaded it!) public access was originally given to the file.
If they don't want people other than their potential clients to download it, they should have find a cleverer way to put the trailer up for limited access instead of putting it on their website.

I worked once for a company of almost 200 people and I know how things are done. Sometimes boss comes in and ask you how we can deliver some huge file (which usually means more than couple of megs, which exceedes the email limit) to a client/prospect - yesterday! So you tell him that you could put it on the website and send the link via email. Nobody thinks about somebody poking around and finding about it, if they don't have a direkt link.
But in this case it might be just a matter of realizing somebody put it online, before it was finished or simpy a wrong (unfinished/uncleared) file was used.
I guess one thing could also be the bandwith. It seems that once some direct link is published here, a bunch of regular trailer fanatics jumps on it and flood the bandwith. The owner panics and puls the plug, not realizing, that after we're done with it, nobody else will bother and things'll get back to normal.
