Yesterday I was reading a weekly Venezuelan newspaper, Urbe, that states on its last issue that a sequel for the movie The Dark Crystal (1982) is being filmed to be on cinemas on 2009.

It was just a two lines comment in a Muppets related article on that issue, so I want to know if someone here knows anything...

A Google search reveals that starting 2006 there were news about a possible sequel for The Dark Crystal, for example:
