ML social network?

What do you think about it? A social network centered around movie interests, where people can meet other persons with the same points of view about cinema? Could ML start something like that? Could be our present ML profiles the beginning of such network?

One idea is: the movie fan social network could be a different thing from the forum, but the option will be given for one or another when the users first register themselves into the forum or the social network, or the blog or the ML video site.

Or it could be all accessed with the same account (but I was thinking that a social network of this kind will be more successful than the ML site and forums and that it will have its own rythm and life).

What do you think? Can ML start a social network like that? Would it be a great success or not? Or it is out of the interests of ML by now?

I'm not a fan of all this internet social networks like MySpace, Flickr and so. ML & ML-Forum are great, but I will not join a ML social network. I like to meet real people.

the forum is great n ML does have a FaceBook group but its lacking in many active members!

Yes, we can talk about all in the forums but the objective of a social network is to meet (new) friends, something you can do in an internet forum but that's not its main objective.

I thought a movie-centered social network could be a natural extension of ML on the internet dimension, and also it could be a logical way to increase the importance of the site, IF IT COULD BE DONE AND IF IT IS THE DESIRE OF THE MEMBERS, OWNER(S) AND MODERATORS. It's just an idea...
