    Arrow RealDVD

From the same company that made RealPlayer, now we have a software that can copy a full DVD (including extras) to the PC's or laptop's hard disk drive, on full DVD quality: RealDVD.

    Official site

The movie industry is specting that this software will made full quality digital DVD copies available on P2P networks. A demand or some kind of movement against Real, the company that makes the software, is spected.

Real has declared that the intention of this program is to make legal digital copies of a person's own DVDs, so you can travel with your movies on your laptop without the discs, avoiding damage to the DVDs and making the trip more comfortable...

The price of the program is 30 US$

Thanks to baquia.com for the first note on this

I guess it was about time a program like that went mainstream, but DVD copying programs have been around for years, and its extremely easy to do it, I don't see why Real making one would be a big deal.

Well, programs to extract the content of a DVD have existed for years... I know that, but RealDVD allows you to copy the full disc into the HDD of your computer, including the extras (trailers, featurettes, documentaries) and in the same full DVD quality as the source... That's new, I believe...

    Am I wrong?
