What movies from the past would you like to see in 3D?

With Avatar sucesss and it's perfect use of 3D, I started to wonder, what movies from the past I would like to see in in 3D.

I will start with Saving Private Ryan, it would be just awesome to see it in 3D format. I hope they will convert it to 3D in some near future

    Your pics?

No one. The old movies are made in 2D for 2D. "Avatar" is made in 3D for 3D, that's why he works so perfectly in 3D.

Simply because Avatar was made with 3D in mind doesn't mean that older films that were made without 3D in mind wouldn't work. Are you telling me you wouldn't love to see these scenes + the whole films in 3D?

I just came across this today...

    http://www.digitalspy.com/movies/new...d-titanic.html

James Cameron has confirmed that his 1997 blockbuster Titanic will be converted into 3D.

Speaking at last week's Comic-Con convention in San Diego, the director said that he was involved in the project to update the movie.

Cameron said: "We can't call it dimensionalisation, we have to call it conversion. That's the same thing, we're going to turn it into high quality 3D.

"It takes about a year to 18 months to do it depending on the complexity. We've been told somewhere around a year, maybe 14 months."

He continued: "We've tested it, seen a couple of minutes converted. It looks spectacular. But it really requires the filmmaker to be involved to make sure that the Stereo Space decisions are made correctly."

Speaking on the same panel, Peter Jackson said that he wants to similarly convert his Lord Of The Rings trilogy, but he suggested that Warner Brothers does not yet believe there are enough 3D screens to make the venture worthwhile.

Cameron added: "There'll be a lot more 3D screens when they know that the Lord Of The Rings films are going to be available in 3D."

George Lucas just can't stop fiddling around with his galaxy far, far away.

If the inveterate tinkerer has his way, Han, Luke, Leia and Chewie may be headed for yet another makeover.

This time the rebel insurgents and the evil empire may be getting the 3D treatment ... and we have "Avatar" to thank for the upcoming conversion.

At an HBO afterparty following Sunday's Golden Globe awards, the director told Access Hollywood that James Cameron's monster hit has convinced him that the technology has evolved to the point where he was willing to reconfigure the outer space series so it could be viewed in three dimensions.

Aside from LOTR,Titanic,Jurassic Park and Star Wars,I prob wouldn't mind seeing a few others in 3D. Maybe Alien or Aliens ,Back to the Future, Beetlejuice, Terminator 1 and 2.

King Kong, the remake. I would love to see the dinosaur chase scene in 3D, and especially the fight sequence between the ape and T-rex.

Other than that, few if any.

I would have to agree with Hordkore, Alien would be extremely intense in 3D!
Dark City would be a good pick for 3D as well.
