Question downloaded file dies midway through

dunno why but a couple trailers i've downloaded will stop midway through and just die (illegal operation and closes down). the screen turns white and this loud buzzing sound emits. anyone else have this sort of problem? any suggestions?

the ones specifically that it happened to are the Four Feathers trailer (the full length, 480 one) and the I Spy (full length, 480), and that korean trailer Take Care Of My Cat.

    thanks for any suggestions.

all of these trailers downloaded completely but don't play all the way through. but if those trailers work for other people, then i guess maybe it's my quicktime or my crap computer that're causing the problem (since d/l those trailers again still doesn't solve the prob, so it's prolly not a d/l problem).

If this would only occour with Apple's trailers, I'd say it's another nasty trick to stop this bad bad bad direct downloading, but in the end I guess you've just got a crappy Inet connection. Use GetRight ... works so well ...

Try the "traditional" way: register QuickTime6, so you can save trailers; watch trailer using apple page, after that right click on trailer -> Save as quicktime movie. Must work.

OHHH.. so you get to save the trailers from the quicktime website just as long as you register QT6?!! That's very cool, I think I might even do it just to be able to save the trailers. But if we can do it that way, at least we have some options if apple forces M-L to stop making direct links to the trailers (and it might be one of the reasons apple wants this site to stop linking to their trailers). Cool, thx for the info!

    :bday:
