    Arrow (2012)

So Smallville Fans, did you have a chance to watch "Arrow" yet?
which for those of you who don't know is an Adaptation of DC Comics’ Green Arrow

I personally thought it was pretty good, I was very iffy about the show at first
but then again I had the same feelings about Smallville and ended up watching that
for 10 years. Speaking of which I thought everything that need to be said about
Green Arrow was handled nicely in Smallville, but can see where they are going with this.

I'm probably going to watch some more episodes of this and let it go through
the first Season and see how it does. I wonder if Hal Jordan or Black Canary
will make an appearance. "Speedy" complete with drug habit was already introduced
into the show so I don't see why not.

But anyway like I said I'll probably watch some more and see how it goes
    what about everyone else?

I liked it but I have 3 questions:

why they didn't use the same actor to play Green Arrow?

Is that the same Luther Mansion from Smallville?

Why did they not call it Green Arrow instead of Arrow?

I think Green Arrow as the title will attract more viewers!

Actually, I didn't start watching Smallville til the 3rd Season and I had to play catch up on Season 1 and 2 from DVDs.

I wish I knew about the show when it started.

Well like I said I thought it was pretty good

As for your questions I think they wanted to some what distance themselves of Smallville and
make a completely different show. I know alot of the fans wanted the guy from Smallville but from
what I have been told this takes place in a different Universe of the DC Comics Multiverse

Think of it kind of like the Episode of Smallville where Clark travels to "Earth 2" and meets up
with his evil counterpart Ultraman (their Season 10 eps I think they are called "Luthor" and "Kent")
so in this Parallel universe this guy (Stephen Amell) is Oliver Queen instead of Justin Hartley

Yes it is the same place used as Luther Mansion from Smallville
that Mansion has also been used in all 4 "X-Men related" movies
Starting with the made for TV Movie Generation X as well as
X-Men, X2 and The Last Stand.
if your wondering why use the same place they did in Smallville
    remember Parallel universe...

Why not call him Green Arrow? I think that is a marketing thing and also
like I said they might want to some what distance themselves of Smallville
Now true they want all the people who watched Smallville to watch this
but at the same time they want to be their own show and not come off
as a spin off. Also I think they are going to use the naming conventions
they they used on Smallville if you noticed not everyone went by their comic
book name. For Example when the Teen Titans character Cyborg appeared
on Smallville he was referred to as Victor Stone.

So that is what they might do on this just refer to him as Arrow
We all know it is Green Arrow, but remember Parallel universe and all
maybe in this world he just take up the name as Arrow and they
might mention "Green Arrow" in passing who knows.

I heard about it but don't know what night it comes on. I wanted to watch it online the other day but found out they don't have captions/subtitles online for it and I need them.

I didn't watch it. Not sure if I will either. Green Arrow is a pretty decent DC character, but I never cared much for him before Smallville. And I don't care much for him after Smallville either. Although I did enjoy him being on Smallville. But not enough to watch a TV show about the character.
