Exclamation Google Chrome built in security DOES NOT like Movie-List.

I have been coming to Movie-List for over 12 years and in that time, at least 8 of those years using Google Chrome.

This is the first time Google Chrome has red flagged Movie-List.

It's not the browser, it's a warning being generated by Google regardless of the browser used.
This started over the weekend as far as I can tell.

I can't see through walls, but I can kick your ass.

Well, my Anti-Phishing software, my anti-virus software, my internet security software, my anti-spyware adware software, none of them have given me any alerts about Movie-List.

Google is wrong with these warnings sometimes. Once earlier this year they even flagged their own Google website as being dangerous.

It's based on stats, something caused the site to be flagged but I have not seen any suspicious, or weird activity.
It's more than likely a false positive, but as with everything Google related, getting it undone is a nightmare.

They claim that there are deceptive or malicious ads in the forum.
I've checked it for malware/spyware and it's clean.
And the only ads we use are from Adsense, so if there are 'bad' ads on the site, they're coming from Google.

Another possibility is "Uptobox.com", a member was posting ProRes trailers using them as a file sharing service.

I put a stop to it for both the nature of the content, and the fact that I received a lot of complaints from people stating they were being re-directed to dubious or phishing sites, in addition to being pummeled with ads following the posted links.

I never noticed it personally since it would never get through my firewall or the various Virus & Ad Blocking software I use, but as we know, many are simply unaware of the basic precautions required to browse safely.

As a precaution, I'll delete any post remaining with Uptobox.com, most have expired anyway.

I clicked on the reporting link at the bottom of the red page and told them it's safe, that I have been a member here for over 12 years and I have never gotten any viruses, adwares, spywares, phished, ransomware, cooties, measles, chicken pox, cold, from Movie-List.

They are not gonna listen to me.

I just came into M-L and I didn't get the red screen.
