Synopsis:

This one is going to be fun.

I read in the trivia page on IMDb, that this was going to be a reboot but Shane Black decided to keep the first two movies and Predators included. So this is, indeed, a sequel (until someone decides to do a reboot/pre-sequel instead).

Although, zero mention of the AVP movies, but I can see that. Those seemed like huge one-offs.

I literally got chills when I heard the Predator click in theaters when they played this trailer before Deadpool 2 and Solo.

From the trailer, it looks like there are 2 of them and I came away with the impression one of them was genetically engineered and created by humans.
