If there's no plastic pieces floating around, to me that would indicate that it's in fact damaged.
The ones I received that way were bent out of shape, take a good look at it from the sides.

While there were no plastic pieces floating around; the whole alignment of the steelbook case would be best described for lack of better wording is what it looks like when a "dog has a underbite". While it was not bent out of shape from all the sides I seemed to have to push and align the upper and lower together in order to get it closed.

That being said I just returned the steelbook to the BBYC store in my area for another online exchange; which was another fiasco because while I had no issues with clerk who waited on me. Another clerk took it upon herself to ask me aka scold me as to why I am having so many problems, exchanges and returns with my merchandise. I simply told I dislike having to return them myself and maybe Best Buy Canada should look at who they are getting there shipments so I won't have to keep coming back. I also added I never had these issues with my Best Buy US purchases like the Dumbo 2019 steelbook.

At any rate I also noticed she was having problems closing it and asked her if she was also having problems and she said no she just added more tape to keep it closed (brilliant). Anyhew, if there is another issue I am just going to return it again and drive to the BBYUS store and purchase it there the clerk from the store I purchased the Dumbo steelbook (they still had 5 copies three weeks after the original release date) from said he sees allot of Canadians coming in complaining about people receiving damaged steelbooks and coming to replace them.
