...that... is probably the best way to put the series after the trailers for Pixels came out.
I am going to have to use that one on my friends.

True, the MI series has really picked up lately.
    I couldn't stand 2 so much. 3 was a wild ride.
4 definitely regained my favor. Probably due to a more fleshed out story with the likes or Renner and much more Pegg.
I just wish the bluray to Ghost Protocol got the IMAX scenes in 1.78:1 aspect ratio (like Nolan's TDK/TDKR).

I am definitely going to look out for this one.

Am I the only one who thinks the 1-minute trailer was a lot more entertaining than the 2-minute one?

    Less is more, I suppose.

The Sneak Peek had all the action shots condensed, as opposed to the Trailer which has more storyline to it.
Not a bad marketing strategy actually, better than those 10 seconds trailer teasers.

It's a way to build anticipation for the full trailer, but on the offset, it also minimizes the effect of the trailer unfortunately.

Same here. I remember it was around the time that I had upgraded my home theater from a 58" plasma screen to 110" LCD projector. I was so mad that they didn't include the expanding effect. I saw it twice in theaters. It was truly amazing.

Does anyone know if they're filming this the same way?

It's a different director this time (I think they like to switch directors for each film so that each one has a distinct style) so I think that unless this particular director is interested in IMAX I doubt we'll see something like that this time around.

Dang! Oh well. I'm sure we'll at least see a Dolby Atmos mix for this.

Tom Cruise performs another insane stunt. Love it!

I don't care about his private life, but when it comes to his job, he goes all the way to make sure that it looks as real as possible. I don't know too many actors, either sane or not, that would agree to get crazy glued to a cargo plane on takeoff, or hang on a string from one of the tallest buildings in the world for the sake of realism in a movie, RESPECT!!!!!
