Berry Close to Signing for Catwoman!

According to Variety, Warner Brothers has selected Halle Berry (Die Another Day, X2) to portray the lead in Catwoman, which director Pitof (Vidocq) will direct later on this year. The studio has reportedly been sweet on Berry for the job for the past two weeks. While no deal has been made, one is expected soon. The film was scripted by John Rogers and rewritten by Mike Ferris and John Brancato

This is horrible news.

Give a woman 1 award and suddenly she's offered every major role in Hollywood. Kidman would have been able to pull the role off very well because she is really good at playing these kind of dark women. Halle Berry is probably just gonna say "Yo Mamma" to everyone that get's in her way.

I won't deny that Halle Berry has the body to do the Catwoman part, but I agree that an African American would be an odd choice for the traditionally white part
