    Street Fighter Alpha

Stars: Kane Kosugi, Kazuya Ichijo, Yumi Toma, Reiko Kiuchi
    Director: Shigeyasu Yamauchi
    Length: 120 Minutes
    Release Date: January 30, 2001

Plot: A Black Cloud hangs over Ken and Ryu's reunion. Brought together by the mysterious death of their master, the two warriors must overcome a challenge unlike any they've faced before. Increasingly disturbed by the dark energies building within him, Ryu is unexpectedly confronted with the appearence of Shun-a boy claiming to be the long-lost brother he never knew. Soon, signs of their common lineage are revealed as Shun enters a martial arts competition and displays the same power of the Dark Hadou.

Before Ryu has the chance to consider whether Shun's timely appearance might be more than coincidental, the boy is kidnapped by agents of the insidous Shadowlaw organization. To recover Shun, Ryu must undertake the ultimate journey of self-discovery and learn to control the power threatening to consume him, but with his confidence waning, will he have what it takes to defeat Akuma-the vicious dark lord of the Dark Hadou himself?

Street Fighter 2 is the better film, and it's available on DVD here. I'll probably get it at some point but I already have the VHS. If anyone has the trailer it'd make a fantastic companion to this one. Alpha has one of my favourite trailers ever though.

Yes, I agree that Street Fighter II was a better anime! I really need to pick it up soon. So far, I see that Overstock.com has the best price (from all the US sites I've searched). I can't seem to find it at any brick & mortar stores anymore.

    Overstock.com - Streetfighter II DVD

Hey Kn'thrak, I'd surely love to see that SF2 trailer you have stored away!

I'd love to see a robodan trailer for this film. There's plenty of excellant stuff to make a good trailer, but sadly this how a lot of anime trailers were done in Britain at the time. Maybe Knathraks trailer is better?

Yeah, I had always had a great idea for a trailer to SF:II. I just never got around to buying the DVD. I had always wished that Manga would release the "Real" uncut Version on DVD...but sadly, it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Plus, It's that much harder to find the disc now! Looks like I'll have to order it up online...
