- winamp dfx plugin (it works only with 2 channel audio)
- de-dynamic filter (to compress dynamic range, like in standalone amplifiers)
- AC3filter (to make the channel mapping for my speakers, it not only works with 5.1 ch audio, but also 2ch-s with Dolby Prologic I-II inside them)
(My best problem was, that the audio quality was rather low (I haven't got a standalone player+amplifier, but a very good 4.1 speaker system with an amplifier), and I can use now dsp filters to achieve better sound quality.)

I tried to and decoding got damn slower! wtf?

if you use mpc and quicktime in direct show mode, then DONT use Apples Quicktime or quicktime alternate. That only affects 720i or higher material.
you have to use one of these (only the best listed):
FFDSHOW
COREAVC
Nero Showtime
Cyberlinks
WinDVD7
Elecard
I prever aheads direct show h.264 filter decoder. Pretty fast, and 1080p is running at full fps.

I have QT Alternative installed too. If you select directshow for qt files, MPC doesn't use QT Alternative or QuickTime to playback it.

well, I have P4 3,47Ghz, 1G RAM and 256 G-Card, so I dont think it could be hardware problem....
it just got damn slower
I use MPC QT Alt., as usual, no filtres, DS or so, and never had problem playin it, even 1080p worked fine in some QT encodes, dont ya tell me its harware probcoz its not
maybe some software collision ? I´d say that IS possible

@st39.6: Have you managed to solve this problem ?
@DVDRick: CoreAVC is the fastest competitor, but it's not free. It plays the 1080p content in full screen without a glitch on my 3GHz Athlon64 + 1GB RAM + 128MB GeForce6600GT (no overclocking), while with ffdshow the 1080p content is unwatchable but the 720p is ok.
And speaking of the playback quality of the different filters: h264 decoding is bit-exact, so doesn't matter which one you're using (unless you want to perform some postfiltering, where ffdshow is the best option.)

I didnt even try to find another solution yet.
I am just reinstallin´ some codecs and other programs, so I just hope it´ll get better than...

New unofficial bugfix build
Media Player Classic - MPC 6.4.9.0 rev611 (2006.05.12.)
(compiled by CelticDruid)
From the Unofficial Changlog (among other fixes and improvements):
- MP4 splitter bugfix
- MKV splitter improvements
- FLV4 support (splitter + decoder)
-
The inner FLV4 support means: it can play back those hatred *.flv files too !!!
but it can play v8 .swf (in which you can play the ON2 .flv) but it is still a little off. it plays it, but it doesn't conform to the viewable area, so most of the .swf is cutoff...."I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone …
but they've always worked for me,"
