    X2 question... help me out!

hey guys, this is kind of a random question but I was hoping you could help me out with it (I'll explain in a sec).

Rewind 3 weeks: you're all pumped to see X-Men 2 and you know its going to be awesome. The video game of it comes out and you haven't seen the movie yet - do you pick up the game or do you wait until you've seen the movie to check out the game?

This is kind of for future reference for me. I have a gamer friend and I want to get a really good gift for his birthday in a few months. I'm sure that he'll be excited to get new games from a movie he's pumped to see but I don't know if I should wait til his sees the movie and... gah!

    What do you guys think?

the movie is already out... why hasn't he seen it yet?!

if he hasn't seen the movie yet- then he must not be an x-men fan
so that oughta tell ya right there.....

nah, he's seen it. THat was just a hypothetical example. I'm trying to figure this out for future reference.

like, do you ever buy a game if you haven't rented it first? Or is there always some kind of test run?

hrmm.. usually the games have nothing to do with the movie anyway.. there may be a very small link.. in some cases they even serve to enhance the plot of the film... cause most characters in games are based on minor characters in the film (due to contractual agreements).... (this only works with games based on movie.. not movie based on game)...

so go for it.. everyone loves a computer game anyway..

but i can think of several other things i would like a girl to get me apart from a computer game JKN

ah ic.... well there's nothing wrong w/ buying the game before the movie comes out. it usually doesn't spoil the movie...

my boyfriend bought the x-men wolverine game before he saw the movie... he loved the game and then he loved the movie. although he is a big marvel fan. so do what you think is right. if you know his taste, then you're all set!
