    Open Range Preview

    Caught an Open Range preview screening last night. I gotta say that it was pretty good. Costner has made a film that captures the prairie feel, and I won't spoil anything, but this film has the most realistic western gun fight I have ever seen.

    It was a movie I might have overlooked, but I'm really glad I saw it.

    (oh yeah, Robert Duvall kicks ***!)

    Why wouldn't this movie be good??? Costner has always been able to do Westerns very well. Silverado, Dances With Wolves, Wyatt Earp, etc.

    I was talking to a friend who had an opportunity to see this movie early and he said that it had a KILLER gun fight at the end. (no pun intended)

    I like Costner movies. But in each one, he is Costner. Like, he only plays 1 character. And he seems like he is flatlining... to coin a phrase. As in not alot of emotion. Still, he keeps delivering almost epiclike pictures.

    I like it when people ryhme.
    Costner was good,
    But then his films stank,
    The Postman smelt of old dog food,
    His reputation sank,
    Can a western help him?
    Well it did win him an Oscar!
    The lights shall dim,
    Everyone should enjoy Open Range like western movies from the old Clint-er!
