finally saw this classic horror movie last night (good DVD from New Line btw) and i must say i was very much surprised. i was expecting some cheap teeny slasher film but i was delighted to see a movie that actually is a "serious" horror movie

hehehe i even had to check the walls in my bedroom.. if they were still real walls

are the sequels good? or just stupid? after seeing this movie, i then realized how stupid Freddy vs Jason is..lol

so remember kids... its only a dream !!!

    read some interesting trivia's here

Go straight to Wes Craven's New Nightmare... while you can.

Skip 2-6, watch them after New Nightmare... if you're interested. (Those are for die-hard Freddy freaks only.)

I told you to skip all the sequels except New Nightmare.

    You didn't listen.

Don't say editman didn't warn you...

What's the matter. Scared that a poor, sad, comedian is going to make shapes in your wall?

Yes, you didn't listen to editman. WATCH WES CRAVEN'S NEW NIGHTMARE!

I don't know how to describe it, but I'd go as far as saying Wes Craven's New Nightmare is one of the greatest films in not only horror but cinema itself! There is a complete overhearing metaphor that captures evil itself, and shows us where it must remain. (There is also an ongoing thing that actually points the finger right at the MPAA, hehe

It is also the ultimate paradox in storytelling. It wouldn't, shouldn't, and can't work, but does in everyway, because of the way Wes Craven crafted it. I myself haven't seen any other film with a story so caught up in a paradoxed loop, and work all the same.

I'm not going to say anything else. SEE IT DAMN YOU!

I've seen all the nightmare films, and if you watch the first film, and skip 2-6, the story still makes absolutely 100% sense (if what I said just made any sense

And I suggest to everyone to see Nightmare 1 and then skip to Wes Craven's New Nightmare. New Nightmare is so good it shattered the relevance of all the sequals behind it.
