It's not a healthy practice. If one has a lot of trashes to spit out, he should do so with his/her real friends in the real world, or do it thru the appropriate channels.

Swamping the threads with pointless replies is in no way appropriate.

Besides no one is telling IGT to get out. He said himself he might be leaving (which I doubt he'll actually do so). No one forces him to do such and such things.

Gee, that's a good idea. Now why don't I just start a thread called 'Upcoming DVDs from Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.co.jp, Amazon.fr, Amazon.de & Amazon.ca'? Use the ignore button peple. I've seen much wosrse spammers tha I Got trailers, and you know what. Spam is something that happens with forums, every forum. Now if you want to go off at I Got Trailers then remember that at least he's not posing as a girl and cybering with you all. Atleast he's not one of those who comes and never goes ever after being banned 50 times. I believe he genuinely wasn't to be a member of this forum, he has made a few posts that I've enjoyed reading and he hasn't attacked anyone, so just back off. This thread is useless, and the ones who are attacking an individual are the ones who are out of order!!!

My concern is always this: how would you know if he's who he claims he is?

He never come back after being banned 50 times because he hasn't been banned yet.

If there's only one or two members picking on the same guy, they're bullying. But even the MODs has by now claimed he's spamming. Are you saying all of us, including the MODs, are out of order?

Above all, you still don't see the point: it's not about personal preference of one certain member, (BTW Ignore List is being utiltised to do just that.) it's about the unhealthy trends the forum is being led into. Sure there's spammers in most Forums. But why can't this Forum be an exception instead of conforming to the norm? Why can't this Forum be a difference?

Yes but until we reach a point where we find out for sure that's he's not who he claims to be then I say innocent until proven guilty. One of the few American sayings I abide by. Besides which, has JP attacked I Got Trailers, insulted him and started threads flaming him? Not to my knowledge, and since this is JP, and Blancboy's forum, then even if a mod was to do these things it would be out of order, and I wouldn't be afraid of pointing this out. It's one thing to point out that he's spamming, it's another to ignore the fact that you are ignoring him and start flaming. Remember that he is not a computer program designed to spam this forum, he is actually a person sitting at his computer, and I for one wont accept that we're allowed to just annoint him as the forum whipping boy. Leave him be, ignore him if you like, but if you do that then ignore him. I ignore someone in this forum, you probably all know who it is, but when was the last time I left a comment with this member, I didn't pull a Radstar did I? That's what the ignore list is for, it is not there to hang over every member in the forum as a threat to force them o conform by your standards.

Oh, and yes. This is a forum, and it is innerant in the internet that there can be no real law. Ban someone and they can still come back, so there will always be spam in every forum, and flaming any member is just going to cause them to spam a lot more!!!
