    When at the frontpage of the forum, the forum link on the menu still leads to the old outdated forum.

    it does happen with my connection or browser, mayve your IE/broser is reading data from your HDD or Internet File cache.... try deleting them or configure your IE to load the webpage "every visit to the page"... this in under Temporary Internet Files-Settings...
