    Iron Man in 2004?

According to this week's Entertainment Weekly, "the tale of metal-clad, mustachioed alcoholic billionare Tony Stark has a projected 2004 release. Don Murphy (From Hell) is producing." Looks like New Line must see this as their next 'Blade' franchise!

right. ya know these blaxploitation movies from the 70s? no one cares about em anymore nowadays. so in twenny years from now on no one will care for comic2film flicks. its just a trend. and yes ... it's starting to get BORING.

Starting to get boring?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! All frickin' FOUR of FIVE them that have come out the last 7-10 years? PLEASE! What you guys are saying about comics2film movies is DUMB; ESPECIALLY the thing about blacksploitaion movies--DOES NOT APPLY!!! With this kind of logic, the better stop making movies from books before that gets old, or they burn it, or before the trend wears out.

They do seem to be doing it all at once. I doubt I will remember and love each comic to film 20 years from now. So far though, I like what I see

    Well...

It doesn't matter how these comic2films work out, as long as the Marvel ones do better than DC.

Why not? A trend is a trend is a trend. Or what? We had a trend of highschool comedies in the early 80ies, we had a trend of war movies in the late 80ies. We had a trend of cuddly cute romantic comedies in the early 90ies and now, at the turn of the centuries, we have a ****ing trend of comic2film .... errrrr .... films. I stated this in another thread already, but I'll repeat it just for you: NOT EVERY COMIC CHARACTER IS WORTH TO BE BANNED ON FILM. The genre will prolly ruin itself, cause the expectations are through the roof after Spider-Man.

Comic book freaks aren't cool, they're just loud.
